Donnie practically pushed Mikey out of the way to get through the door, squeezing past him just in time to see the fading blue of one of Leo's portals. 

He’d barely had time to grab his bo, head still fuzzy from sleep and pajama pants uncomfortably askew from Being woken suddenly. 

Mikey was in a similar state of disarray, his shirt riding up his shell and his eyes wide and glancing around the room wildly. 

They'd both been woken by Leo's shouting, rushing out of bed to help their brother only to find Raph in a Leo-free train car. 

“Raph? What happened? Why was he yelling?” 

As his brain woke up, he was reminded of their mission for the day: reverse Leo's ‘family-forgetting’ curse or whatever it was. 

So it probably had something to do with that. 

“I dunno! I came ta wake him up like he asked me to yesterday and he just- he started shoutin' at me!” Raph turned, holding his hand to a small cut on his arm. It bled sluggishly, and Donnie quickly opened a drawer in Leo's desk that he knew had band-aids. 

“ He musta had a nightmare or somethin’, I tried to help but I think I only made it worse “ Raph worried, letting Donnie slap the band-aid over the cut, “ he didn't seem ta recognize me or know where he was or anythin' “ 

They were silent for a moment, before Mikey piped up. 

“ But he’s never made a portal during a panic attack before….are you sure it was that, I mean-”

“ oh my banana pancakes,” Donnie slapped a hand to his head. His mind had been running through every possible Leo could have ‘woken up and chosen violence’. 

It could have been a nightmare. But the answer was so obviously related to their current curse-relted predicament. 

“ The curse! It’s not- He didn’t just forget us the one time, “ He explained, starting to pace. An uncomfortably hot feeling pooled in his stomach, anxiety bubbling up from there. He shook his hands out in an attempt to dispel the feeling, the lingering worry about Leo now being somewhere totally random making him nauseous. 

“ It's- its like he resets! He must have forgotten again when he went to sleep- like- like he just got reset overnight!” He rambled, grimacing, “ This complicates everything, how’re we gonna get him to cooperate if he wakes up with a different reaction to three strangers every single day!? How are we gonna fix this is if he forgets the curse even exists!?”

Raph stopped him, hands on shoulders. 

“ Donnie, take a breath,” he sighed, and Donnie reluctantly stopped and shut his eyes for a second, taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly. 

“We can get him back, no problem,” Raph smiled, “ ya still got that tracker in ‘im, right?” 

Donnie blinked. Right, how could he forget? 

“ of course! TO THE LAB!” he whipped around and hurried for the door, trusting they'd follow him. 

“ I'm sure ‘Nardo can fend for himself, he does have his swords,” He noted, if only to make himself feel a little less anxious, “ but I would rather him not be wandering the streets of NYC without half of his memories.” 

He continues to ramble, even as he stepped into his lab and  whipped out his keyboard, quickly pulling up the tracking device coordinates and corresponding map. 

“What if he doesn't come home before night? Will he just forget us again?” Mikey asked, swiping some stuff off of Donnie's desk and taking a seat on the surface.

Mikey suddenly gasped, grinning, " this is just like that one movie! With Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore!"

Donnie grimaced, but he had bigger concerns right now. Even if those were parts to a pretty important project. He opted to ignore that and just think harder about the actual matter at hand. And the plot of 50 First Dates. Just in case it could actually help them somehow.

“ I assume so, yes. And that amnesia-riddled plot is more medically related, so sort of but not really."

"What's more concerning is that he probably won't remember why he's out there, and that will probably introduce more anxiety to the mix,” Donnie murmured, watching as Leo's indicator moved slowly through the streets of New York. He was on then other side of the river, and seemed to be hopping rooftops for now, “ like I said, he can take care of himself, but we should at least try and convince him to come back to the lair before nightfall. I don't know if his amnesia is progressing or not yet, which is also concerning.” 

Silence again. There was also the obvious concern about Leo being gone. Which, unfortunately, seemed to be one of the more difficult things they'd been collectively working through. 

The first six months or so, Leo was never left alone. Not for lack of trusting him or thinking he wasn't capable of taking care of himself ( although he was fairly injured for most of that time ) but for the fact that none of them seemed to want to let him out of their sight. It was partially why Donnie had upgraded the trackers to track their vital signs down to their blood pressure. He didn't like not knowing. He didn't like remembering the feeling of Leo being gone after- 

Donnie let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. It was gonna be okay. Leo wasn't gone, he just wasn't in the lair. And he couldn't possibly know how anxiety inducing that was due to the aforementioned amnesia-curse. 

But they knew where he was, and they knew he was okay for now. 

The computer suddenly let out a beep. then another. Donnie looked up, watching as Leo's dot stopped moving. His heart rate increased, and the beeping increased with it. 

There was one thing that they hadn't really accounted for, after all. 

The chance of Leo ending up in a fight.

Part 3 to the unnamed fic/au/whatever this is

I don't like this part as much, but I really am just trying to get the idea out of my head and into writing, haha! So I hope the OOC-ness of everybody isn't too bad :)

I think this would def work better as a fic, but I am kinda wanting to explore it as a comic too. Comics just take a lot of time and I can't do all the fun thought-stuff I like to do on fics so :/

Ah well I will simply keep doing whatever I want, so enjoy.

Ya'll, rottmnt fic idea im might work on. Donnie and either Mikey or Leo are in a dangerous situation and, ala Raph in the movie, does a bit of a self-sacrifice by giving them his Battle Shell and setting it to fly off- Cue Donnie struggling to survive with little to no tech

Do you guys remember that one 87 episode where Leo is hit by a personality alterator and acts all out of character and his brothers have to go through many shenanigans to get him back to normal?

I was thinking, it'd be fun if it happened in rise, but like, better explained. So the machine would somewhat take away people's walls and acts, showing how they truly feel and think, or making it reverse.

Now, imagine the potential ANGST if Raph or Leo got hit. dude.

Raph freaks out whenever he is alone (even in the lair), he doubts his position in the family now that he's not the leader, he's scared he isn't strong enough to protect his brothers. I think he'd also only speak in third person after being hit. Much angst and cuddles ensue.

Now, if Leo got hit, BOI that would be so juicy. No acts, no jokes, he loses his whole thing. He's serious and insecure and can't mask it through shenanigans anymore. And what about when the bois see? Mikey and Donnie know that Leo deflects but Raph didn't know how bad it was and angst ensues because he is the older brother, he is supposed to know what's going on with his bros! (Dont mind me making it about Raph again)

Anyways someone should write this.

I’m gonna talk about my sep au with what if Draxum got his way!

CW: Child Abuse

Like. What if during all the explosions and bam boom pow of the lab explosion, Splinter sadly doesn’t get away with the turtles? Draxum is like “Wow, that was dramatic. But! I have my turtles now.”

He’s able to eventually take over the Hidden City and declare war on the Human World. And it goes very well for him!

Here’s the thing. I do believe that Draxum would make a good dad if he wanted to. And in most situations and universes, I think he would want to! He would want to take care of these little goobers and raise them with love and affection. The dude really is a total softy once you get past the very thin outer crunchy layer.

And this Draxum doesn’t want anything to get in his way from saving Yokai from the human threat, and that includes himself. This is a Draxum that makes every wrong turn, hardens his heart every chance he gets, and ignores the wailing of his conscience until he can’t hear it anymore. Stays so focused on taking over the human world until he wakes up one day and realizes he has almost achieved his dream. All it had cost him was his soul.

Relations with the turtles

Draxum didn’t create them with the intention of them being brothers. If anything, he doesn’t want them getting any bright ideas that if they banded together they could take him down. So with his idea of “raising them” includes things such as: having them only work together on his pre-approved missions, keeping them separated for much of their childhood, etc.

Another separated AU

Okay but what if the disaster twins were... Mandalorians? And the sunrise duo are... Jedi? And one day the twins get hired to protect the senator of Hosnian Prime from bounty hunters and two Jedi padawans were assigned to protect the same Senator and they just... Meet?

What if:

The boys are pretty much four of the last six specimens of their kind and were sent to Splinter (a former Jedi master who left to be with the love of his life but became a Mandalorian after completely losing his way) via Big Mama (the senator of Hosnian Prime, who is also his ex and sort of ditched him after he left the order) because she knew the children would be safe with him.

Splinter immediately feels that three out of the four babies are force-sensitive but doesn't want them to become Jedi (because he resents them for taking him away from his family when he was a kid), but one day, Draxum (another Jedi master and former friend of Splinter) comes to collect them and Splinter struck a deal with him in which Draxum only takes two children while leaving Donnie (the only one who is not force-sensitive) at least with one of his brothers so he won't grow up as an only child?

What if years later, Big Mama's life and her apprentices are in danger and therefore require protection from the Jedi order, but Big Mama also cashes in a favour with Splinter so he and his sons come to protect her as well? Only to meet Raphael, Mikey and their master Draxum?

Of course, Casey and Usagi are also there! Both of them are Big Mama's apprentices and Usagi is going to become the next senator of Hosnian Prime once Big Mama retires, while Casey is set to become his right-hand man. Both are from influential families and while Casey has 100% human ancestry, Usagi has Diathim ancestry which makes him appear slightly more attractive / almost hypnotic to others in the room. Usagi is also a human in this au, which will become more important after Order 66 gets issued and the imperial era starts.

The plot will mainly revolve around the topic of reunion and protecting Big Mama from her own people rebelling against her, but it will soon take a twist once the reason why her own people plan to kill her comes to light.

I don't know man, I love the idea of the disaster twins being Mandalorian so much and it's literally burned into the back of my head and I just can't stop thinking about it.

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

oh man... calling me out, huh? /lh

off the top of my head, including everything from vague ideas to the fully fleshed out ones, to the ones i've actually written stuff for? nine (at least). which may not seem like a lot, but as i am incapable of writing anything short and/or sweet, that is way more than i am capable of handling at the moment, haha.

as for the au, i've talked about this before on here, but i've fleshed it out a little more to a place where i'm happier with it! so, here's my origami ghost au!

credit where credit is due, i got the og idea/sick-ass name from @noodlenoodlenoodlenoodle. (thanks for letting me adopt this au, and play around with it! i swear i'll write that seratello follow-up fic one of these days <3)

the basic premise is this: leo gets put in a coma, and nobody knows why or how. mikey, who was with him when it happened, was found in a similar state, but woke up the next morning with no memories of what happened. everybody keeps hoping that he'll wake up, writing notes and folding them into little origami shapes for him to read through when he recovers. but time progresses, and they begin to lose hope.

when strangely folded origami notes start appearing around the lair, often scrawled with incomprehensible writing, the mad dogz begin to wonder. raph, not wanting to inspire false hope, dismisses the occurrences, encouraging the others to do the same. however, raph has a few suspicions of his own. enlisting the help of cassandra in order to avoid the suspicion of his brothers, they begin following the trail of strange, mangled origami animals and their often nonsense notes. following a series of clues to the gutters and back alleys of new york and the hidden city, they begin to uncover the truth behind what is happening. old grudges start to come to light, and with each secret uncovered, they find themselves beginning to question the very nature of what's been happening, leading them to ask the larger question behind it all: why?

meanwhile, donnie doesn't buy it. things just aren't adding up, and he's frustrated that raph seems so willing to just let something like this go. leo and him have always been close, and he doesn't believe for a second that his brother is beyond hope. he confesses his feelings on the matter to april, who has been having similar thoughts. the two of them decide to start doing a little research of their own on the side, without the knowledge of the others. on a hunch, they head to the mystic library (which they are banned from) and are able to "convince" (blackmail) a newer employee-- the long-suffering usagi yuichi-- to aid them on their quest. thrown into a world of ancient rituals, cursed items, and other "mystic bullshit" (donnie's words), the b team soon finds there's much more to this than they had thought. not to mention, things get dicey when their meddling goes just a bit too far, and somebody gets paranoid. (thank god they have a rabbit bodyguard...)

finally, mikey. mikey, whose been taking this all the hardest, whose brothers have been disappearing more and more often. who can't seem to remember what happened that night, and blames himself more with each passing day. not to mention, due to the effects of the invasion, his hands are too shaky to fold origami "right" (his words.) mikey begins to withdraw, acting like he's fine, while internally, he begins to obsess over what happened that night. his family doesn't seem to notice, being so busy with things they won't tell him about. it seems like it should be easy to slip out, leaving the others unaware, but he didn't count on thing: casey jr, leo's shadow and unspoken "second-in-command." in the spirirt of looking out for him, casey demands he be let in on whatever mikey is planning. mikey isn't happy, but he relents, letting casey in on a secret: he does remember something from that patrol. something that's been keeping him up at night. something that he isn't quite sure he can trust. together, the two of them start looking for the truth behind exactly what happened that night, and more importantly: who is to blame. driven by his growing anger, with casey keeping an eye out for him, he dons the moniker of the 'origami ghost,' venturing into the darkest parts of the city in search of a killer. but to catch a killer, mikey might just have to become one.

New Rottmnt fic idea

After the movie, Donnie find a way to track down his mom, his real mom, who's a regular softshell turtle. Instead of subjecting her to goo to turn her mutant, he fits her up with an exosuit (which everyone's kinda iffy on but hey, better than making her a mutant involuntarily)

I'd like to get piebald in there too, talking with Donnies mom about becoming a mutant by choice and why her son doesn't remember being a non mutant turtle (as opposed to her having memories as a non mutant fish)

I think Judith would be her name (one of Donatellos statues) and Splinter would call her Judy maybe? But Judy rejects him (L)

Mikey Raphael and Leo all want her to be their mom too, but they all get really quiet when they find out she can't skate, doesn't eat pizza, and doesn't really like video games. She's worried she can't connect with them and vice versa

I'd like to think of how she can connect with them and Donny... Any ideas?

Idk if she's going to become a mutant or not either, given the choice... again, any ideas?

Allow me to set the scene:

2012! TMNT meet rottmnt right after the 2012!series ends and the rise! Bros are recovering from the Kraang. Instantly, the Mikey’s do not like each other, but they hide it fairly well. (At least neither sides’ brothers notice)

2012! Mikey despises Rise! Mikey because he is this young, powerful, and insanely cheery version of himself that is carefree/innocent in a way that 2012! Mikey just…..isn’t anymore due to trauma. But he mostly hates that this version of himself because his father is still alive (the rise! Bros don’t know the 2012! Don’t have a Splinter anymore)

Rise! Mikey hates 2012! Mikey because he has incredible skills as a ninja and his brothers clearly trust his skills. After the Kraang invasion the rise! brothers have been basically treating him like a little delicate child because he almost ripped himself apart making the portal. 2012! Mikey’s brothers trust him (which took them a while to do but rise! Mikey doesn’t know that). He also has never seen 2012! Mikey botch up a single flip or any other park-core move. Rise! Mikey still stumbles over his own feet from time to time and he hates that it makes him seem weak and reckless.

Their bitter feelings to each other just keep growing and growing until during a mission, rise! Mikey doesn’t follow the plan and ends up using his powers (partly to show off and partly to prove to his brothers that he can handle himself) and almost accidentally gets one of 2012! Mikey’s brothers killed (I’m leaning towards Leo because he has a habit of getting himself nearly killed. Also because I head-cannon that Leo is like a parental figure to 2012! Mikey and he really doesn’t want to lose another one of those).

And when the groups are (luckily) safe, 2012! Mikey goes up to rise! Mikey and decks him. He yells at him for not taking the plan seriously (I know, a Mikey yelling that someone needs to be serious? shocking). Which culminates in a screaming match between the two where they air out all the resentment they have for each other onto the other.

Their shell shocked brothers snap out of it, and the Mikey’s have to be dragged away by their respective Raphs. They then have to apologize and make amends for what was said/done and then they slowly become friends.

found family reunions are the best kind of reunions, especially when one of them has changed drastically
